Founded by Urs Brunner, Ascencio brings a combination of senior executive experience, strategic consulting, and executive coaching to organizations navigating growth, transformation, and change.
Urs is a C-suite executive with extensive international experience across multinational corporations, privately held companies, and start-ups in the medical technology industry. His career has spanned strategy, business development, market access, marketing, sales, business integration, operations, and general management, with leadership responsibilities across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and North America.
As CEO and President of Schaerer Medical, Urs led strategic and operational initiatives focused on global growth, profitability, organizational alignment, and shareholder value. Previously, as VP/General Manager of Black Forest Medical Group, he led organizational transformation, double-digit growth, profitability improvement, market expansion, and operational effectiveness.
Earlier in his career, Urs spent 17 years with Medtronic in progressively senior roles, including Strategic Market Access, Business Integration, Corporate Market Development, and business leadership across international markets. This experience has provided a deep understanding of the challenges involved in developing strategy, entering and growing markets, aligning organizations, and translating strategic priorities into business results.
